BYLAWS Article
1 Organization
Name and founding. This
organization shall be known as the Oil Region Paranormal Investigation
Team, or by the acronym O.R.P.I.T. which was established by the founders,
Mark Fornoff, Scott Robinson and Ryan Ashbaugh in July of 2007. The organization
name, Oil Region Paranormal Investigation Team, and acronym O.R.P.I.T.,
is owned by the original founders of the group and shall not be used
by any other entity without the expressed written permission of the
founders. Article
2 It
is the mission of the O.R.P.I.T. Investigators to provide
a professional, and serious paranormal investigations to individuals,
businesses and property owners all over the Oil Region and surrounding
areas free of charge. A:
The O.R.P.I.T. Investigators will use equipment that the founders
of the organization deem appropriate during the investigations. B:
All evidence gathered through the investigations will be examined
thoroughly by the investigators.
All evidence that has been gathered will be documented and reported
to the appropriate persons. Article
3 O.R.P.I.T.
Logo The
Oil Region Paranormal Investigation Team logo shall be recognized as
an oil derrick with three ghost forms on the derrick with a spray of
oil coming from the top of the derrick with the acronym O.R.P.I.T. over
the oil spray. The
acronym may or may not be present with all forms of the logo. In the event the acronym is not
present the organization name shall be placed around the oil derrick. The
Oil Region Paranormal Investigation Team logo is the property of O.R.P.I.T.
and was created in September of 2007. The
O.R.P.I.T. logo is the property of O.R.P.I.T. and can not be used by
any other entity without expressed written consent of the O.R.P.I.T.
organization. Article
4 O.R.P.I.T.
web site The
O.R.P.I.T. website name www.orpit.org
is owned and operated by the O.R.P.I.T. organization.
No part of the web site shall be used, copied or transformed
unless done so by an O.R.P.I.T. member. The
O.R.P.I.T. web site shall be owned and operated by O.R.P.I.T. and used
under this article until such time where O.R.P.I.T. discontinues the
agreement with the web server.
Article
5 Leadership At
the date these regulations were made, the leadership structure shall
be followed by the following guidelines. A:
Founder(s):
The founders of O.R.P.I.T., as a whole, have all discretion on
making decisions for the group through a vote or agreement by the group
majority. Once
the O.R.P.I.T. group expands the leadership article will be revisited
and amended. Article
6 Membership A:
Anyone who has a genuine interest in the field of paranormal
investigation is eligible to apply for membership. B:
Interested persons may fill out an application and submit it
to our organization for review. C:
All persons submitting an application shall meet the minimum age requirement
of 21 years of age. D:
No person convicted of a felony shall be eligible for membership. E:
Upon receipt of the application the O.R.P.I.T. founders will
review the application for approval or rejection of the applicant. F:
The O.R.P.I.T. founders hold the right to accept or reject ANY
application that is submitted for membership for ANY reason. G:
After approval of the applicant all members present at the next
meeting will have a chance to sit down with the applicant for a face
to face meeting. After this
meeting all active members present will vote whether to accept the applicant
to a probationary status or to dismiss the applicant. H:
After acceptance of a member in to the O.R.P.I.T. organization,
this new member will be placed on a probationary period that will not
last longer than six (6) months. Within
this six (6) month period the founders will vote on the applicant to
determine whether to dismiss the applicant or to make the applicant
an O.R.P.I.T. member.
1:
During the probationary period, at the discretion of the O.R.P.I.T.
founders, any applicant can be dismissed without reason. I:
After becoming an O.R.P.I.T. investigator a member can only be
dismissed for just cause or for a violation of the O.R.P.I.T. rules
and regulations. An active O.R.P.I.T.
investigator can only be dismissed after a majority vote for dismissal.
Article
7 Member
Rules A:
All members will conduct themselves in a professional manor while
at any O.R.P.I.T. function. B:
All members will maintain an appropriate outer appearance while
at O.R.P.I.T. functions. This
includes personal hygiene and dress. C:
No member shall be under the influence of narcotics or alcohol
at any O.R.P.I.T. investigation.
This WILL lead to immediate termination from the group. D:
There will be no littering of any type during any investigation. E:
If an investigator is told to do something pertaining to any
investigation or for the betterment of the group, it is their obligation
to fulfill this request. If
a member feels that they are being misled by a more senior member they
must immediately contact another investigator and explain the situation.
F:
No trespassing during any investigation.
If the investigation team does not have permission to enter an
area specified by a client and an investigator does so, that investigator
will be immediately terminated. G:
During some investigations the clients may ask for strict confidentiality
on their name and location of the investigation.
If this is stated on the investigation privacy form no person
involved in the investigation shall disclose any information of the
investigation. This WILL
lead to immediate termination from the group. H:
Treat all equipment with absolute care. I:
Show respect for the living and the non living. J:
All evidence gathered during investigations with any equipment
is property of the O.R.P.I.T. organization and can not be reproduced
or published without the consent of the organization. K:
Any member that attempts to discredit or undermine the credibility
of the O.R.P.I.T. organization WILL be immediately dismissed from the
group. L:
Any member that attempts to falsify any documentation of an investigation
WILL be immediately dismissed from the group. M:
Any active member that is convicted of a felony will be dismissed
from the group.
Donations
and Funding A:
O.R.P.I.T. is a non profit organization and shall not accept
any money for services rendered. B:
Donations can be accepted for the use of purchasing equipment,
training and travel. Donations
WILL NOT be used for any personal gain. C:
All donations and monetary funding gained will be documented.
Receipts will be kept on file for equipment bought, travel expenses
and training. D:
Grants may be applied for to cover O.R.P.I.T. expenses. Article
9 Fiscal
Year
A: The O.R.P.I.T. fiscal year shall run from January 1st through December 31st.
