Digital Voice Recorders / E.V.P. Recorders These recorders are used by our investigators while asking questions throughout our investigation. The goal is for an investigator to ask a question and get an intelligent reponse that is not heard at the time. These recorders can also be used to capture any audio that investigators can not explain. I.E. bumps, footsteps, voices, slams, ect.

 

 

Analog Audio Recorder Same uses as the Digital Voice Recorders / E.V.P. Recorders. This system however is thought to be more useful than the digital style due to the fact that the analog system is harder to edit or make fake reponses.

Mini DVC Infrared Video Recorder This is a portable style low light camera system that investigators take with them and record the happenings of the investigation.

Wireless Audio Recorders This system is used to monitor certain places in the investigations. The wireless systems are placed in designated areas and left running whether an investigator is in the area or not. This system is used to continuously record in the hopes of catching E.V.P., bumps, slams, footsteps, ect.

Infrared Thermometer Systems This equipment is used to detect sudden temperature changes that is thought to go hand in hand with paranormal activity. With the infrared system it is much simpler to follow a cold spot from one area to another.

E.M.F. (Electomagnatic Field) Detectors The E.M.F. Detectors are used to first obtain a base line reading of areas to be investigated for paranormal activity. After the base line readings have been taken investigators can use the E.M.F. Detectors to locate unusual E.M.F. readings, follow the reading from area to area or find the source of an E.M.F. spike that has been linked to giving people the feelings of being watched or uncomfortable.

K2 Meter Used like an E.M.F. detector and works off the same principal of reading influxes in the surrounding electromagnetic field. Investigators believe that with a K2 Meter investigators can communicate with spirits/ghosts/beings due to this system using lights to meter E.M. energy. An example of this would be for the investigator to ask, "if there are any spirits in the room make the meter flash three times in a row". And the meter flashes three times in an intelligent response. Our K2 Meter has been modified from its original version. As I am sure all investigators know the K2 Meter can easily be manipulated via the thumb pressure on/off switch. We have replaced the thumb switch with a basic toggle switch so as the unit can not be manipulated with pressure.

Digital and 35mm Cameras Used throughout the investigation to take photos of the site being investigated in the hopes of capturing an orb, apparition or other paranormal happenings. Many investigators feel that digital photography is not the way to go when doing a paranormal investigation due to how easy the photo can be edited, no negative no proof the photo was not enhanced and it is thought that digital cameras create false orbs. We at O.R.P.I.T. use digital photography just as another tool and all photos are analyzed before jumping to conclusions.

Computer Systems Used to store records, data and all other information on O.R.P.I.T. also not pictured are two desktop computers.

O.R.P.I.T. equipment also includes flashlights, two way radio systems, cell phones, and other misc. equipment to ensure the safety and diligence of each investigation.
