Seneca Pa, un-named residential complex

Report from resident:

Resident reported to ORPIT investigators that her first experiences began about six years ago when she first moved in to a residence located in Oil City.  She reports that while at this residence that there were two separate individuals that witnessed an apparition of a small girl on two separate occasions in the guest room.

The first person that witnessed the apparition was awoken in the night and described an intense cold feeling.  It is said that he looked at the end of the bed and saw a young girl, about ten years old, with long brown hair wearing a white night gown.  Our client reported that her friend was frightened and closed his eyes for a few minutes.  When he reopened his eyes the girl was gone.  He looked over to his side and the small girl was now beside him kneeling down and it appeared that she was trying to grasp his cell phone that was laying on the night stand.

It was not reported how this encounter ended but the friend would not enter the house again and would honk the horn for our client to come out.

The second person to witness the apparition was our client’s brother.  She told our investigators that her brother had spent the night at the house and slept in the same guest room as her friend.  She then told us that in the early morning hours that her brother came from the room and told her that there was a girl in the room.  Our client said that she didn’t think too much about this and told her brother to go back to sleep and that it took her a few days to put the two sightings together.

She also reported strange electrical happenings with all electrical machines. (TV, radio ect.)  She stated that one night she went to sleep and her roommate woke her to ask why she had all of the lights on in the house.  When she got up to look EVERY light was on in the residence.

There was also a report that on a few occasions the oven would be turned on full blast with the door open and sinks being turned on.

Our client states that she has moved four times and during these moves the haunting seems to follow her.

For the residence that we were to investigate our client reported that there did not seem to be as much paranormal events occurring as in the past residences.  She states that it is mostly limited to noises, such as the sound of someone walking in her kitchen, the sliding and slamming of glasses on the kitchen counter and the sound of water running in the kitchen sink.  These noises were also heard by a male friend that visits our client.

She did state that on one occasion while leaving to go to a class she and her sister had just walked out to the car and her sister said that she needed to use the bathroom.  She said that her sister went to the apartment and was gone only a short time and retuned to the car and said that someone had opened the cabinets in the kitchen.  Our client said that she is kind of used to odd things happening so thought nothing of it and they left for class.

She states that upon her return to the residence that she did notice that two cabinets on the top row and two on the bottom row were open and all seemed to have been opened the same distance.

On one other occasion she stated that while she and her sister were walking up the steps to the residence that her sister “kind of tripped” and then ran the rest of the way up the steps going by her.  She asked her sister what happened and she stated that someone grabbed her ankle while walking up the steps.

THE INVESTIGATION

Our investigation began on 10November2007 at 9:00pm.  It began with gathering the information from the client captioned earlier.  After the information was obtained set up of equipment began.

On this investigation the following equipment was used:

Four Camera Infrared Video system

Portable Infrared Camera

EMF Meter

K2 Meter

Infrared Thermometers

Digital Voice Recorders

Digital Cameras

During the investigation we gathered a total of

A little over 12 hours  of video from the five recorders.

Approx 6 hours of audio from the recorders.

80 photos.

Also we set a cup in the kitchen that was measured out to see if it moved at any time during our investigation.  Also paper towels were placed in the sink to monitor if any water came from the faucet.

The Four Camera Infrared DVR system was placed to monitor the kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom areas.  The handheld I.R. camera was used sporadically throughout the investigation.

During our time at the residence we did hear some noises throughout the kitchen area.  Even though these noises were present none of the investigators felt that this was anything other than the “normal” sounds that residences make. 

On a few occasions we did hear the running water in the kitchen.  All investigators felt that this noise was caused by a non-paranormal source.  Due to the residence being in a residential complex this noise was contributed to the numerous water pipes running though out the walls and floor of our client’s apartment.  Also the paper towel placed in the sink to monitor if any water came from the faucet was dry at the end of our investigation.

Also throughout the investigation some investigators did experience what they thought were cold spots.  None of the I.R. Thermometers showed much of a temperature change.  Further checking in to these thought cold spots showed it to be nothing more than where the air in another room was moving around.

In all of the physical evidence that was gathered by our investigators during this investigation, there was nothing paranormal captured by any of our equipment. 

The only incident that our investigators were unable to capture or reenact was the kitchen cabinets opening.

In all, for our experience at this residence, we felt that it is not haunted.  Everything could be explained with the exception of the cabinets.

We all do however feel that our client may have had some major paranormal activity occurring in residences prior to the one she now lives in.  This is due to her experiences that were backed up by three witnesses.  Who knows, maybe we will get to the house that this all started in.
